The construction aspect of the project included the addition of a brand new NHL-size arena pad, as well as the renewal and renovation of the existing one. Using newer and “greener” technologies, the new ice refrigeration system that was built also integrated the existing six curling sheets.
This renovation also included a Design Build project, where Cimco Refrigeration and Allco Electrical Ltd. designed the two new ice plants for the brand new rink as well as for the existing one.
